Background:
 Oluyemi Philip Ologunwa was born on the 24th April, 1975, at Akure,Ondo State to the family of Mr Jerome John and Cecilia salamatu Ologunwa. He attended St. Michaels Catholic Primary School, Akure (1979 – 1985) and Aquinas College Akure (1985 – 1991). He proceeded to the University of Ibadan, Oyo State where he obtained a Professional Diploma in Statistics (PDS) in 1997, a Bachelor of Science Degree (B.Sc. Hons.) in Economics in 2002 and a Master of Educational Management Degree (M.Ed) in Economics 2008. He also had Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Ambrose Alli 2004, a Master of Science Degree (M.Sc.) in Economics 2010 from lead City University Ibadan and Ph.D. Management Science from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Nigeria. He started his teaching career as a class room teacher at Regina Mundi Girls Secondary School, Iwo, Osun State. (2005-2007). He proceeded to the Department of Economics Lead City University, Ibadan as Assistant Lecturer, Staff coordinator Students electoral committee and Departmental examination Officer (2007 - 2011). He advanced in his career in October 2011 to Achievers University Owo, Ondo State where he had the privileged to serve as the Acting Head of Department of Economics, the Chairman Subcommittee on Logistics, College of Social and Management Sciences Conference, the Secretary Senate Committee on the University Curriculum and the Coordinator Departmental Students Disciplinary Committee Achievers University, Owo. In a broader stage he also worked in the Faculty of Education, Department of Educational Management, Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba akoko in 2013 as Assistant Lecturer and the Secretary to the Department. He Joined the Federal University of Technology (FUTA) on the 3rd of Dec. 2014 as Lecturer II where he presently rose to the post of Senior Lecturer. At the University, he was privileged to be elected as Sub Dean School of Management Technology (SMAT), Federal University of Technology, Akure, several times the Examination Officer, Department of Economics, the Vice Chairman Subcommittee on the University exhibition of the 40th anniversary Alumni Task Force, Member, SMAT’s 2017 Conference Planning Committee, Member SMAT’s 2019 Conference Planning Committee, Member 2017 SMAT Annual Lecture Planning Committee, Member 2018 SMAT Annual Lecture Planning Committee, Member 2019 SMAT Annual Lecture Planning Committee, Member Economics Department’s NUC Accreditation Committee (2018) and Member Federal University of Technology Housing Allocation Committee. Oluyemi also contributed significantly in the areas of capacity building, community development and successfully supervised over 35 Undergraduate and Masters Students. He received several awards which includes; the NYSC State Award ‘Best corper of the year’ Minna, Niger State (2003), Most Outstanding Lecturer of the year 2009/2010, 2010/2011 Session, Department of Economics, Faculty of Social Science, Lead City University, Ibadan, Most Outstanding Lecturer of the year 2013/2014 Session, Department of Educational Management, Faculty of Education. Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State and Award of Excellence 2021, Department of Economics, School of Management Technology, Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. His publication is over twenty (20) articles in national and international Journals. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management; Member Chartered Institute of Personnel Management and Member Nigeria Economics Society. He has received TETfund grants for Institutional Based Research (IBR) which includes the Effect of COVID-19 Pandemic on Unemployment and Poverty in Southwestern Nigeria, the Assessment of causes and impact of nomadic cattle grazing on crop production and farmers income in south western Nigeria and in 2015 he Presented a paper on Dominant Coalitions and Citizenship Behaviour in Nigeria at an Annual International Conference on Manpower Training and Development, held at University Of Antananarivo, Madagascar. He was the Public Relation Officer, The Secretary and the Chairman of the Electoral committee, Obafemi Awolowo Hall of residence, University of Ibadan, (1997- 2000) and later the president, Obafemi Awolowo Hall of Residence, University of Ibadan (2001). Dr.Oluyemi Philip Ologunwa is an Industrial Economist, a faithful Catholic and the secretary of Christ the King Society Sacred Heart Cathedral Ondo Diocese. He is happily married with children.
